Dear BROTHERS & SISTERS IN CHRIST ALL PEOPLE OF GOOD WILL,

SUBJECT:  Join Us In Our WORLDWIDE CAMPAIGN To PRAY FOR & PROMOTE "Peace In The World” @ http://prayforpeace.ws

& Always REMEMBER the words of OUR LORD & SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST as written in the Gospel of St. Mark, Chapter 38, Verse 8.

As we “DO OUR PART” to Pray For & Promote PEACE IN THE WORLD!

“I am the good shepherd; and I know mine, and mine know me.” St. John chapter 10, Verse 14 “Turn away from evil and do good: seek after peace and pursue it.” PSALM 33:15

“For he that shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation: the Son of man also will be ashamed of him, when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

“A new commandment I give unto you: That you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” St. John Chapter 13: Verse 34

[16] “For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world, to judge the world, but that the world may be saved by him. [18] He that believeth in him is not judged. But he that doth not believe, is already judged: because he believeth not in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the judgment: because the light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the light: for their works were evil. [20] For every one that doth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, that his works may not be reproved. [21] But he that doth truth, cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, because they are done in God.” St. John, Chapter 3, Verses 16 thru 21.

“You have to know FIRST what is true, before you can know what is NOT true.” Anonymous

In John 14:6 Jesus saith to him: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me.”

St. John, Chapter 18, Verse 37.

Pilate therefore said to him: Art thou a king then? Jesus answered: "Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth my voice."

St Edith Stein “Those who seeks the truth is seeking GOD whether they know it or not.”

St. Augustine had this to say about the Truth: (We should READ & MEDITATE OFTEN on the TEXT below.)

“Hatred of the Truth”

“But why does truth engender hatred?  Why does your servant meet with hostility when he preaches the truth, although men love happiness, which is simply the enjoyment of truth?  It can only be that man’s love of truth is such that when he loves something which is not the truth, he pretends to himself that what he loves is the truth, and because he hates to be proved wrong, he will not allow himself to be convinced that he is deceiving himself.   So he hates the real truth for the sake of what he takes to his heart in the its place.  Men love the truth when it bathes them in it light: they hate it when it proves them wrong.  Because they hate to be deceived themselves, but are glad if they can deceive others, they love the truth when it is revealed to them but hate it when it reveals that they are wrong. They reap their just reward, for those who do not wish to stand condemned by the truth find themselves unmasked against their will and also find that truth is denied them.  This is precisely the behavior of the human mind.  In its blind inertia, in its abject shame, it loves to lie concealed from it.  Its reward is just the opposite of its desire, for it cannot conceal itself from the truth, but truth remains hidden from it.  Yet even in this wretched state it would still rather find joy in truth than in falsehood.  One day, then, it shall be happy, if it learns to ignore all that distracts it and to rejoice in truth, the sole Truth by which all else is true.” St. Augustine

In OUR STRUGGLE against evil, We must NEVER Forget Our Lord & Saviour JESUS CHRIST words to St. PETER and the APOSTLES when He founded the Church. “And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” St. Matthew chapter 16, Verse 18

Edmund Burke “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men should do nothing.”

WE MUST DO OUR PART TO PROMOTE PEACE

WHAT IS PEACE?

It is,” in St. Thomas’ (Aquinas) pointed and lovely phrase, “the tranquility of order.” The tranquility of order – the kind of order which results when everything is in its proper place, and everything is in its proper place because everything is directed to God. Peace does not just happen. Again, it must be willed. It is willed first and foremost by God, but if we are ever to possess the peace which God wills for us, we ourselves must will it, aligning our wills with His.”

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men of good will.”   Luke 2:14

“God is telling us, through His messengers the angels, what He everywhere tells us when He instructs us on the particulars of our salvation—that we must do our part.”

“Just as God will not force His love upon us, neither will He force His peace upon us. We must be men of good will with regard to peace. This means, simply, that we must actively will it. We must be open to peace, accepting of it. The peace of God may descend upon the earth like manna, but we must bestir ourselves and go out and gather it up.  Then we must assimilate it.”

“We will never possess peace if we insist upon seeking it where it can never be found, that is, anywhere else but in the “tranquility of order” which is brought into being when God is the focus and foundation of all that we do. Peace is not itself a virtue, St. Thomas (Aquinas) teaches, but it is the direct effect of virtue, specifically the virtue of charity.”

Christ's prayer for his disciples.

[1] These things Jesus spoke, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said: Father, the hour is come, glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee. [2] As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he may give eternal life to all whom thou hast given him. [3] Now this is eternal life: That they may know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. [4] I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. [5] And now glorify thou me, O Father, with thyself, with the glory which I had, before the world was, with thee.

[6] I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou hast given me out of the world. Thine they were, and to me thou gavest them; and they have kept thy word. [7] Now they have known, that all things which thou hast given me, are from thee: [8] Because the words which thou gavest me, I have given to them; and they have received them, and have known in very deed that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. [9] I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them whom thou hast given me: because they are thine: [10] And all my things are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

[11] And now I am not in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name whom thou has given me; that they may be one, as we also are. [12] While I was with them, I kept them in thy name. Those whom thou gavest me have I kept; and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture may be fulfilled. [13] And now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy filled in themselves. [14] I have given them thy word, and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world; as I also am not of the world. [15] I pray not that thou shouldst take them out of the world, but that thou shouldst keep them from evil.

[16] They are not of the world, as I also am not of the world. [17] Sanctify them in truth. Thy word is truth. [18] As thou hast sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. [19] And for them do I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. [20] And not for them only do I pray, but for them also who through their word shall believe in me;

[21] That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. [22] And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, as we also are one: [23] I in them, and thou in me; that they may be made perfect in one: and the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast also loved me. [24] Father, I will that where I am, they also whom thou hast given me may be with me; that they may see my glory which thou hast given me, because thou hast loved me before the creation of the world. [25] Just Father, the world hath not known thee; but I have known thee: and these have known that thou hast sent me.

[26] And I have made known thy name to them, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou hast loved me, may be in them, and I in them.

IN CLOSING: We should always REMEMBER the words of St. Paul To Timothy Chapter 2: Verse 1 to 15.

[1] I desire therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men: [2] For kings, and for all that are in high station: that we may lead a quiet and a peaceable life in all piety and chastity. [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, [4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth. [5] For there is one God, and one mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus: [6] Who gave himself a redemption for all, a testimony in due times. [7] Whereunto I am appointed a preacher and an apostle, (I say the truth, I lie not,) a doctor of the Gentiles in faith and truth. [8]I will therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up pure hands, without anger and contention.[9] In like manner women also in decent apparel: adorning themselves with modesty and sobriety, not with plaited hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly attire, [10] But as it becometh women professing godliness, with good works. [11] Let the woman learn in silence, with all subjection. [12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to use authority over the man: but to be in silence. [13] For Adam was first formed; then Eve. [14]And Adam was not seduced; but the woman being seduced, was in the transgression. [15] Yet she shall be saved through childbearing; if she continue in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety.

PRAYER FOR AN INCREASE OF LOVE

(PLEASE SAY THIS PRAYER DAILY)

Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for coming into my life as my personal Saviour.

I truly believe that Thou has come in the flesh, died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead that I may have life.

I thank Thee for helping me to love and I ask thee for the grace that this love may increase in my heart everyday that I live.  Help me to love Thee to the degree that thou desirest and to always love my fellow sisters and brothers for the love of Thee.

Open the eyes and the hearts of those who do not love as Thou desirest becasue of racial prejudice and religious difference.

Open the eyes of those who do not see that we are all children of God, and that none of us can sincerely accept Thee as Our Saviour if we refuse to accept man as our brother.

Help all to come to the knowledge that thou desirest unity and not division, for a house divided cannot stand.

O Holy spirit of Love and of Truth, fill all hearts with the Fire of thy Love and the Love of Truth, for Jesus tells us, "By this will all men know that you are My disciples, if you love one another."

All this I ask Thee Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Always Remember: “But if we walk in the light, as he also is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1ST Epistle of St. John, Chapter 1, Verse 7

& NEVER FORGET:

“For he that shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation: the Son of man also will be ashamed of him, when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
